About Dr Leong
Dr Leong Choon Kit is a dedicated physician with a background in Public Health and Family Medicine, focusing on public policy, social issues, and vaccination advocacy. He leads Mission (Hougang) Medical Clinic and the Class Primary Care Network, and co-authored Singapore's Adult Vaccination Guidelines.
Beyond clinical work, Dr Leong has vast experience in medical missions, addressing issues like teenage suicide, cancer prevention, and special needs advocacy. He actively contributes to community, schools, and healthcare institutions across Singapore.
Dr Leong holds academic roles as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS and NUS, where he mentors students and young doctors. His passion for guiding future healthcare leaders extends to clinical teaching and fostering innovation within the private sector.
He has spent over a decade mentoring pre-medical students across all three local medical schools and is deeply committed to nurturing the next generation of doctors — regularly participating in interviews, workshops, and pre-med programmes.
Outside of medicine, Dr Leong is the host of the Uncle Talks Podcast — an honest, candid conversation series about health, medicine, and life in Singapore, co-hosted with fellow physicians.
