TL;DR – Muscle Nation Daily Shake review
- Muscle Nation Daily Shake: 20–25g protein, creamy milkshake taste, gluten-free.
- Mixing with fruits/yoghurt greatly improves variety (my favourite hack).
- Not essential — most Singaporeans get enough protein from meals (Dr. Titus Leong).
- Good for active lifestyles; whole foods preferred for daily nutrition (not meal replacement).
- Always consult a doctor or dietitian for personalised advice.
What Is Muscle Nation Daily Shake?
Recently I tried Muscle Nation’s Daily Shake Protein Powder for 7 days in a row after exercising and it’s a little bit like watching a Netflix series that had an exciting start but starts to trail off halfway through. It tastes great in the beginning but by the 4th day you might start to want to mix it with something else.
Muscle Nation Daily Shake is a milk and whey based protein powder that is designed to be an all-purpose, anytime protein shake to help increase your daily protein intake instead of being a ‘hardcore’ post-workout formula.
Anyhow in this article, I will be taking a look at what are Muscle Nation Daily Shakes, why you might want to consider them and a doctor’s honest opinion about protein shakes in general. Stay tuned for more.
Muscle Nation Daily Shake Nutrition & Benefits Breakdown
As of 2026, Muscle Nation Daily Shake has 3 flavours: strawberry, chocolate and vanilla ice cream flavour.
Muscle Nation Daily Shake typically has about 20g of protein, 3-7g of carbohydrates, 6g of sugar and very low saturated fat (usually under 1g) per serve. Muscle Nation Daily Shake is gluten free. So if you can’t consume gluten this would be alright for you.
It does contain milk and soy (from lecithin in the whey, and sometimes other soy‑derived components), so this would not be suitable for you if you need a dairy-free or soy-free protein shake.
If you’re lactose intolerant but still want a convenient way to hit your protein goals after a workout, check out this lactose-free protein shake option in Singapore.
Dr. Titus Leong, he advises that adult men in Singapore typically need about 0.84 g of protein per kg body weight daily, and women around 0.75 g/kg. For those actively training or elderly patients aiming to preserve muscle, 1 g/kg or more is often beneficial. He also advises to see a dietitian for individualised guidance.

My 7-Day Trial Setup
For this test, I trained about 2-3 hours everyday for 7 days with a mix of body weight and resistance exercises. Stuff that you can comfortably do at home and nothing too intensive or crazy that the average person can’t do. I then drank the Muscle Nation Daily Shake within about an hour after each session.
I also made the shake after exercising instead of before because it tasted ‘fresher’ to me. But more on that later.
Muscle Nation Daily Shake Day-by-Day Experience
So I bought the Muscle Nation Daily Shake strawberry flavour and this was my experience drinking it for 7 days in a row after exercising.
Day 1: First Impressions

So I had no idea what to expect in terms of taste as this was the first time trying Muscle Nation Daily Shake. And I didn’t have one of those protein shaker bottles as well. So I ended up using a tumbler (for hot drinks), 300ml of milk and a scoop (30g) of protein powder and shook the bottle as much as I could.
I also made the shake before I started exercising and kept it in the fridge. So it was in the fridge for about 2-3 hours.
It actually taste really nice, soothing, refreshing and ‘light’. It felt like drinking strawberry milk basically. But when I got to the end, I saw large clumps of protein powder that was not mixed properly. So that explained why it tasted so ‘light’.
I also felt surprisingly full after drinking the shake — almost like I’d just eaten a proper meal, even though I hadn’t. At the time, I wondered if my stomach was playing tricks on me since I was training on an empty stomach.
Dr. Titus Leong, explains: “Satiety is the term for feeling full. When you feel full despite not eating much, it’s called early satiety — a common effect of high-protein intake.”
Day 2: Making Changes
For the second day, I was thinking of buying a protein shaker bottle, but I also thought why not just stir it instead of shaking it? Just like when you make a hot cup of Milo. Do I really have to shake it?
So I did the same thing as the first day, tumbler + 300ml of milk + one scoop (30g) and stirred it with a spoon until it was mixed properly. With a spoon I could also feel if the protein shake had been mixed properly. I also made it before I exercised and kept it in the fridge.
This time it tasted much creamier like a thick strawberry milk shake. But it also had this ‘baby formula’ kind of smell and taste. I also found myself starting to crave the protein shake at certain times of day, like how you would crave eating a hamburger or something. But maybe I just hadn’t eaten anything at that point.
Day 3: Making more Changes
Before I made the Muscle Nation Daily Shake on the third day, I suddenly remembered that I had a blender at home and decided to try blending the protein shake instead. I just wanted to make sure that the shake was properly mixed this time.
I did pretty much the same thing except this time I used the blender. So blender + 300ml of milk + one scoop (30g) and blended everything for about 20 seconds. I also made it before I exercised and kept it in the fridge.
The taste was exactly the same as when I mixed it with a spoon. Despite that I decided to use the blender from now on as I felt that it was better at mixing the powder and cold milk together.
By the third day I’m sure if my mind was playing tricks on me, but I did feel physically better. I obviously didn’t sprout out new muscles or anything like that, but I felt that I had more stamina to get through the daily tasks during the day or if I had to do more physical things (eg. carrying heavy stuff).
I must say though that I was beginning to get bored of the taste and it started to feel more like drinking ‘baby formula’ milk.
Day 4: Adding Fruits

By the fourth day I was a bit sick of the ‘baby formula’ taste, and I had some bananas lying around that were starting to get black spots. So I decided to blend one of those bananas together with the Muscle Nation Daily Shake. So blender + 300ml of milk + one scoop (30g) + one banana.
I was really unsure how a strawberry and banana shake combination would taste. But that one banana made a whole world of difference to the taste as that ‘baby formula’ taste had been replaced by the taste of a sort of fresher but real banana fruit. It was really really made a difference and it was so easy to make as well.
I decided to do this for the next day (Day 5) as well because it tasted so good. I was actually even looking forward to exercising so that I could reward myself with the banana strawberry protein shake. I also started to make the protein shake after exercising as I felt it tasted fresher.
Day 6: Strawberry + Apple shake?
On Day 6 I ran out of bananas.
But I could not bring myself to drink the protein shake plain without adding anything. I had some red apples lying around in the fridge so I decided to blend one red apple with the Muscle Nation Daily Shake. So blender + 300ml of milk + one scoop (30g) + one red apple.
I was a lot more sceptical about combining strawberry and an apple to make a shake. A quick google search brought up basically zero results and I was starting to doubt myself as I was slicing the apple whether this was a good idea or not.
Basically it tasted strange, but it’s not undrinkable. Maybe the apple was not really big, so it had this strange apple aftertaste that seemed to clash with the strawberry taste. I haven’t tried this combination again since, but I do wonder if using a green apple would make it taste better.
Day 7: Adding Yoghurt & Final Thoughts

On the last day, I didn’t have time to do grocery shopping and happened to see some mango yoghurt lying around in the fridge. I really didn’t want to drink the protein shake plain again and couldn’t bring myself to blend an apple with it. So I thought why not try blending yoghurt with the Muscle Nation Daily Shake.
So blender + 300ml of milk + one scoop (30g) + one small tub of Mango Yoghurt (115g). A quick google search also brought almost zero results but I felt that if Chagee could make yoghurt bubble tea drinks taste nice, this combination may not taste so bad.

This also turned out to be a really great combination as the yoghurt taste really made it taste a lot more refreshing. If you run out of fruits I really recommend blending your protein shakes with yoghurt to improve the taste.
As for how I felt physically, I felt like my body had a lot more endurance to do tasks throughout the day. I also felt that I wasn’t as tired after exercising, although this would depend on what exercises you do etc.

How does Muscle Nation Daily Shake Compare to Other Brands?

| Fairlife Nutrition Plan | 30 g | ~150 kcal | High protein, low sugar, lactose-free dairy |
| MyProtein Impact RTD (SG) | 25 g | ~194 kcal | Cow’s milk protein, low fat, zero added sugar |
| Rokeby Farms (SG) | 30 g | ~170 kcal | Filtered Aussie milk, added lactase, higher sugar, very “milky” |
| Protea Clear Whey (SG) | 20 g | 85 kcal | Clear whey, 0 lactose & 0 fat, light iced-tea style |
| Calobye Perfect Power (7-11) | 20 g | 130 kcal | Korean RTD, low fat, standard milky flavours |
Values are approximate and based on common variants available in Singapore as of 2026. Prices and availability may vary.
Previously we tested the Fairlife Protein Shake and it still stands out among the rest because of it is lactose-free. If you need a lactose-free protein shake option, you might want to consider Fairlife Protein Shake instead.
Dr. Titus Leong, emphasises that most average Singaporeans already get sufficient protein from everyday meals and don’t necessarily need shakes. “Ensuring each meal includes good protein sources is usually enough for the average person,” he says. “Whole-food options remain the preferred choice for the majority.”
Where to Buy Muscle Nation Daily Shake in Singapore (2026 Update)
As of 2026, Muscle Nation Daily Shake can only be found on their website, online retailers such as Amazon and Shopee (Availability depends on seller) and some other smaller online stores. Unfortunately they are not found at bigger retailers such as FairPrice NTUC and Cold Storage.
FairPrice NTUC does sell Muscle Nation Protein Bar (sort of like a protein museli bar) online so there might be a possibility that they bring it in the future. Look out for updates.
Recipes Ideas
As you can tell, I got quite bored of the taste of the protein shake after a while. If you are in the same situation, you can consider consuming Muscle Nation Daily Shake in other ways with some of these recipe ideas:
Blend it with Fruits
This was the method I tried and my favourite as it is really simple to do. Just add Muscle Nation Daily Shake, 300ml of Milk and fruits to a blender. For me adding banana works very well but adding a red apple was a bit strange (but not undrinkable). I would definitely be trying to blend it with other types of fruits in the future.
I would also say that using fresher fruits makes quite a difference. The banana protein shake tasted slightly different with fresh bananas and with “black spot” bananas.
Protein Coffee (Proffee)
This next method will be great if you are a coffee lover. Just use the Muscle Nation Daily Shake as the milk ingredient to your coffee. I love coffee and will definitely be trying this out. Although you would want to try this out with the vanilla flavour daily shake instead.
Protein Oats (“proats”)
If you like eating oats, you can try adding Muscle Nation Daily Shake to oats as the milk ingredient as well. You can add berries, nuts or yoghurt to it to get a high-protein breakfast oat bowl.
Mix it with Yoghurt
You can also consume Muscle Nation Daily Shake with yoghurt. Just add a scoop of protein powder with 150-200g of Greek Yoghurt, some milk (if it’s too thick) and mix well. You can also add fruit, granola or nuts for a dessert-style high-protein snack. But for myself I prefer to blend the daily shake with yoghurt instead.
Baked Protein Bars
If you have better baking skills, you can consider making baked protein bars. Just replace about ¼ to 1/3 of the flour with the daily shake powder. You can make protein bars, protein muffins and even protein pancakes. Consider adding a bit of yoghurt as the protein powder does dry out quickly.
